When you submit a YouTube URL, we store: your account email, the URL and
extracted video metadata (title, channel, duration), the video's caption
text and derived transcript, and the AI-generated summary. We do not
collect or store the video or audio file itself — only publicly available
caption/subtitle text extracted via yt-dlp.
At this stage, we retain job, transcript, and summary data indefinitely
— we don't yet automatically delete old
data. Our database schema already includes a deleted_at
field on this data specifically so we can build a deletion/purge tool in
the future; until that tool exists, assume data you submit is kept.
Contact us (below) if you'd like your data removed manually in the
meantime.
Caption text is sent to OpenRouter's API (which routes to an underlying model provider) to generate summaries, subject to their data-use terms. We don't sell or share your data with anyone else.
