Terms of Service

Last updated: [DATE] — draft, not legally reviewed.

What TWDW does

TWDW ("the Service") lets you paste a YouTube URL and receive an AI-generated summary of that video's spoken content. The Service works by extracting publicly available caption/subtitle text for the video using the open-source tool yt-dlp. The Service never downloads, stores, or redistributes the video or audio itself — only text captions already published alongside the video by YouTube or its uploader.

AI-generated summaries may be inaccurate

Summaries are generated by a large language model based solely on the video's caption text. They may omit important context, misstate details, or otherwise be inaccurate — this is a known limitation of automatic summarization, not a guarantee of correctness. Summaries are provided for convenience only and are not a substitute for watching the source video. Do not rely on a summary alone for decisions where accuracy matters.

Acceptable use

You agree to use the Service only for videos you have a lawful right to summarize, and not to use it to circumvent any creator's or platform's terms of service.

No warranty

The Service is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
